Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) has released the schedule of their seminars with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units for this year 2019.
PNA is the accredited professional organization of registered nurses in the country and also accredited by PRC CPD Council to provide programs that has continuing education units.
These CPD units are now required for nurses, in compliance of the recently implemented Republic Act 10912 or the Continuing Professional Development Act of 2016. The requires all regulated professionals, including nurses, to comply with CPD unit requirements for renewal of their Professional Identification Cards (PIC).
In the revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the law effective March 1, 2019, nurses need 15 units of CPD in 3-year renewal period or 5 units per year.
