A Filipina nurse working in a government hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates became a millionaire overnight after she won in a raffle draw.
Anabelle Manalastas won Dh12 million (around P167,000,000) in Big Ticket Abu Dhabi draw that was streamed live on social media. The Abu Dhabi Big Ticket raffle is the largest and longest-running raffle draw for cash prizes and dream luxury cars in the UAE.

“I usually don’t use phone when I am working. Also I had seen that the winners are usually hard to contact. So I also tried to ignore my phone. And then Alhamdullilah my phone rang. It was Richard. I heard the cheer of the crowd. And I knew I was the big winner,” Anabelle said, in an interview over Filipino Times.
The Filipina who started working in UAE in 2011, said that she would share the Big Ticket jackpot win with her friends.
Five consolation money prizes (Dh50k, Dh70k, Dh80k, Dh90k, Dh100k) were won by Indians, while one winner hailed from Sri Lanka and won Dh60,000.
There are also winners chosen at random from the attendees of the event in Abu Dhabi for smaller prizes including flight tickets, mobile phones etc.
