Great news for health care workers in private hospitals in Cebu City! They will be receiving P10,000 incentive each month on top of their salary.
Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella announced via his official Facebook page that he is preparing this financial benefit for all health workers in private institutions for a period of three months.
“As a token of gratitude for their efforts against COVID-19, I am working out a monthly financial incentive of P10,000 each for our health care workers in Cebu City’s private hospitals for a period of three months,” Labella said.
Labella said that he’s giving this incentive due to the fact that these health workers in private hospitals receive lower salaries compared to those working in government facilities.
Included in this arrangement are resident doctors, nurses, medical technologists, radiologic technologists, respiratory specialists, interns, assistants, auxiliaries, and staff in Chong Hua Hospital, Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital, Perpetual Succour Hospital, Cebu Velez General Hospital, Cebu Community Hospital, and Adventist Miller Hospital.
“There are 1,800 health care workers that we need to help to boost their morale as they receive less than their counterparts in government. We know the risks they face during this pandemic. They deserve whatever help we can give them,” he concluded.
