The hiring for NDP nurses is part of Human Resource for Health (HRH) Deployment Program of the health department. Aside from nurses, hiring of universal healthcare implementers, midwives, medtechs and public health associates (PHA) is also open for the following programs:
- Nurse Deployment Project (NDP) - P26,878
- Universal Healthcare Implementer (UHCI) - P24,887
- Medical Technologist Deployment Project (MTDP) - P24,887
- Public Health Associate Deployment Project (PHADP) - P19,940
- Rural Health Midwife Placement Program (RHMPP) - P14,931
DOH will prefer those who have experience in public health. For nurses, place of assignment will only be at Cavite, Rizal and Quezon provinces.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts regular visits to priority households under the NHTS-PR.
- Prepares health status reports of families based on NHTS-PR priority households.
- Plans for appropriate interventions on the identified health concerns of families under the priority NHTS-PR.
- Assists in the conduct of regular monitoring and evaluation of various health programs under the NHTS-PR.
- Assists in the conduct of disease surveillance.
- Maintains Barangay Health Stations in the absence of RHM/PHN.
- Conducts health education and training.
- Assists in the preparation of reports on clinic and community activities.
- Coordinates with Public Health Associates to ensure timely data collection and reporting.
- Participates in data gathering and response during health emergencies and disasters.
- Performs other duties to be assigned by immediate supervisor.
Recruitment and Selection Procedure
- Application form may be obtained from DOH Regional Office IV-A website (www.ro4a.doh.gov.ph) or you may download HERE.
- One (1) duly accomplished form shall be submitted directly to DOH Regional Office IV-A QMMC Compound, Project 4, Quezon City.
- Only HRH with official and validated PRC license are eligible to apply (A photocopy of licenses and must not be expired).
- All applicants shall undergo the recruitment and selection process of the DOH Regional Offices with consideration of the following criteria:
- HRH must be physically and mentally fit.
- Priority shall be given to applicants from the indigenous groups where the recipient municipalities are located.
- Accepted HRH shall be assigned in RHUs, Birthing Homes and Barangay Health Stations giving preference to identified Doctorless Areas, 5th to 6th Class Municipalities, municipalities under the 44 Focus Geographical Areas (FGAs), Accelerated and Sustainable Anti-Poverty (ASAP), Whole of National Initiative (WNI) and Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) areas.
- HRH shall be employed under Contract of Service.
- Written exam and interview shall be posted at DOH Regional Office IV-A website.
Deadline of submission of applications is until January 31, 2017.
